Rep. John Rhodes (R) Mecklenburg represented the 98th House District in the North Carolina House of Representatives and has a proven record as a staunch fiscal and social conservative. The 98th House District represents the towns of Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville in North Mecklenburg County.
For nearly four decades, he's lived, worked, and served in the community. He's traveled to Washington to advocate for resources for the community resulting in successfully securing much needed resources for transportation funds in the community. He has a deep connection and great love for the community and his neighbors in North Mecklenburg County that have spanned nearly four decades living, working, and serving in the community.
For nearly four decades he's served North Mecklenburg and the towns as a Mecklenburg County Medic, a Cornelius Firefighter, as a small business owner of Rhodes Realty of Lake Norman, as a Cornelius Town Commissioner, and multiple terms as North Mecklenburg's State Representative in the North Carolina House of Representatives in the 98th District.
John Rhodes has the political experience necessary and the longstanding knowledge of the community to best represent the 98th House District in Raleigh.
He attended the N.C. Institute of Political Leadership to learn the landscape of North Carolina politics at all levels: Local, State, and Federal government to best serve his community.
John's faith life is important to him. He grew up St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Charlotte, where he has held various leadership roles. He currently is an active member of Central Church of God in Charlotte. His faith, honesty, and integrity are core values that are important in every aspect of his life.
